Our training courses

In 2021, we are launching the Patrimoni training programme in Kef.

This six-month professional training course in heritage professions – theory and practice, development of innovative projects – focuses on promoting the tangible and intangible heritage of the city of Kef. The aim is to strengthen the capacities and socio-economic integration of young people in the Kef region.

Patrimoni’s objective is to train around 40 young beneficiaries from Kef (recent graduates and young entrepreneurs) over a period of three years (2021-2024) in the knowledge and techniques of conserving and promoting Kef’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) with the help of numerous multidisciplinary professionals and experts.

The disciplinary field covers history, cultural and natural heritage, communication, cultural mediation and its digital tools, and support for project management, from idea to implementation.

The methodology used for the Patrimoni training programme follows a progressive approach divided into four phases :
– A first theoretical part on the history, geography and architecture of Kef with practical exercises, reinforced by field trips and site visits.
– A second practical part through capacity-building workshops and the discovery of techniques related to traditional skills.
– A third part focused on data collection through meetings with resource persons in Kef.
– A fourth part based on the support of beneficiaries’ projects by a specialist mentor and/or peers.

At the end of the eight-month training and incubation period, the young people who have been trained can integrate :
– directly into Museum Lab’s activities, through the creation of jobs
– indirectly through the implementation of their own projects, products or services that enrich the region’s cultural and tourist offering and meet local needs.
