Our immersive experiences
With Money, discover the history of Tunisia through the history of its currency and a numismatic collection.
The display cases at the Money Museum are a fundamental space for discovering and learning about Tunisian, Maghreb and Mediterranean numismatics in general.
With the interactive ‘Money’ experience, these 2D and 3D coins are highlighted, both on the front and back, with several points of interest that can be consulted by the user.
The content of this application provides an opportunity to explore these objects from all angles. It also allows users to discover the valuable collection of Hassen Hosni Abdelwahab, a Tunisian notable, historian and collector of coins, books, manuscripts and archives.
The interactive ‘Money’ experience is the result of a hackathon on the theme of promoting heritage through new technologies, led by young graduates, volunteers, members of the Museum Lab association, collaborators, curators, researchers and students at the initiative of Museum Lab at several Tunisian sites in 2019. They came together in multidisciplinary teams and, in line with the proposed themes and sites, devised and implemented original and innovative concepts to revisit mediation in Sousse, Dougga, Kerkouane, El Kef and Tunis.
